Houston Chinese Restaurant Review: Hunan Plus
Hunan Plus Chinese Restaurant Review
This place is the equivalent of a Tony Jaa movie. You get EVERY thing that is awesome (great prices, great food)along with a lot of unneccessary perks such as soup and free iced tea.
I've been going for about a year and a half. Surely you must think I've turned into a fat lard by eating this food. No, I've actually lost weight. It is crazy. This place is soo good and scrumpious that makes me want to gift wrap a box of kittens and put a nice bowtie on top then proceed to hug said box of kittens. It's great! Definitely recommended for cheapos like me who see no point in paying too much for too little. It should be the other way around. Paying too little for too much. After all, isn't that what America is about?

Lai Lai Chinese Restaurant -Review by Jane
My first taste at Lai Lai was about 2 weeks after it opened in 1983 for my 32nd birthday. I still highly recommend it. It has always been an inexpensive yet bountiful place with lots of atmosphere. Try the "Chinese Broccoli with oyster sauce" with the pork dumplings. To die for. Best of Houston Chinatown rating: 5.
Houston Chinese Restaurant
Houston Chinese Restaurants Review : Noodle House
Noodle House, located in the heart of
Houston Chinatown, opened last year. They serve only Taiwanese food. They have favorites like black pepper steak on sizzling iron plate, beef noodle soup, and other famous Taiwanese dishes. The store is very nice and soothing. They have lunch specials for under $4 as well.
Yellow River Chinese Restaurant in Houston, Texas
Today I visited Yellow River
Chinese restaurant in Houston. They are located in Dynasty Shopping center in
Houston Chinatown. This place is like an American Luby's Cafeteria. You go in and stand in line to order the food you want to eat. They have about 20+ different entrees to choose from. You get an order of rice and 4 different entrees. I had Chinese cooked eggs,
stir fried green beans , tofu, and roasted beef. The portions are enough to fill a grown man and it only costs $3.25. Add on a milk tea for only $1 and you have a full lunch with drink for less than five bucks. Add this to your
cheap lunch in Houston list.
Kim Son Restaurant in Houston
Kim Son Restaurant Review
2001 Jefferson St
Houston, TX 77003
The Kim Son on Jefferson is probably the best one in Houston. Food doesn't take too long to be served, service is good, and seating doesn't take long either. The other locations are sub-par. I think that this restraunt is underestimated. Many people say that its too "Americanized" but I think its just right. If you go to the average vietnamese restraunt, the food is mediocre and so is the service. Here however, the food is quite delicious, nicely and beautifully prepared, and tastes fresh. You just have to know which dishes are good.

Fu's Garden Chinese Restaurant
Fu's Garden Chinese Restaurant in Houston, Texas
Fu's Garden is to Chinese food what Taco Cabanna is to Mexican food: Tex-Chin. The dishes range from edible to good - but I would hardly call this Chinese food. To give credit where credit is due, this is definitely a step up from Chinese buffet, but I think that most of the people who gave this chain restaurant high ratings have never had authentic, freshly prepared Chinese food. This is really too bad, because if Houstonians demanded it, we would have more authentic restaurant choices. Unfortunately, as long as the market continues to demand it, we will continue to get "La Choy" style food.

Sichuan Cuisine in Houston, Texas
-review by Douglas
I highly recommend
Sichuan Cuisine . It is one of the best Chinese restaurants in all of Houston, especially if you like spicy food. I highly recommend the Twice Cooked Pork, Spicy Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, and the Boiled Sliced Fish.
